About the project
At Intermedia, fabric-wrapped acoustic panels were applied to the walls to improve the acoustics of the office and give the space a stronger look. The absorbent core reduces the echo and noise that build up in the room and leaves it better balanced. The contrasting colours chosen for the scheme give the walls a dynamic, arresting composition and reinforce the modern character of the architecture. The panels support the acoustics and the interior at once, and the office is a more comfortable and productive place to work because of it.
Zorluk
The brief was to bring the echo and background noise under control — both were working against the people using the office — and at the same time give the space a stronger, more contemporary identity. The open-plan layout muddled speech and cost communication its clarity, while plain walls did little for how the company read in its own space.
Our solution
Fabric-wrapped acoustic panels were fitted to the walls; the high-performance absorbent core brought echo and noise under control. Contrasting colours were used to build a composition with movement across the wall, which strengthened the modern character of the architecture. Technical performance and visual intent were balanced rather than traded off.

Results
Acoustic comfort in the office improved markedly, and with it people's focus and the clarity of conversation. The visual language the panels created gave the space a more energetic, contemporary identity. The project delivers function and design value together.
