Acoustic Timber Panel AP-007
Acoustic Panels

Acoustic Timber Panel

Perforated timber acoustic panels and timber panel systems are a contemporary finish used both to improve how a room looks and how it sounds. The perforated face lets sound waves through to the absorbent layer behind, which cuts echo and noise and leaves the room better balanced and more comfortable. Produced with a timber veneer, these panels create a warm, refined atmosphere and add to the architecture rather than sitting on top of it. They are used in conference halls, offices, teaching spaces, hotels and social areas. Hard-wearing and available with different perforation patterns, they can also be designed specifically for a project.

Acoustic Felt Baffle Ceiling Panel AP-001
Office Acoustic Products

Acoustic Felt Baffle Ceiling Panel

Felt ceiling panels hang down from the ceiling and are an effective way to reduce echo and noise in a room. The dense felt absorbs sound waves and leaves the space calmer and better balanced. With a contemporary, decorative look they work as both a functional and an attractive ceiling treatment in offices, open-plan work areas, restaurants and social spaces. The NRC of a felt panel depends on its thickness, density and how it is fixed. For PET acoustic felt of 9–12 mm the figure is typically in the 0.30–0.50 range.

Acoustic Felt Wall Panel AP-002
Acoustic Panels

Acoustic Felt Wall Panel

Acoustic felt wall panels cut indoor echo and noise and give a room a more even, comfortable sound. The dense felt takes in sound waves rather than bouncing them back. With a contemporary look and a choice of colours they work as both a decorative and a functional solution in offices, meeting rooms, teaching spaces and social areas. The NRC of a felt panel depends on its thickness, density and how it is fixed. For PET acoustic felt of 9–12 mm the figure is typically in the 0.30–0.50 range.

Fabric-Wrapped Baffle Ceiling Panel AP-003
Acoustic Panels

Fabric-Wrapped Baffle Ceiling Panel

Baffle panels hang vertically from the ceiling and are used above all in rooms with high ceilings, where echo and noise build up. Because they hang free, they absorb sound on both faces, which improves the acoustics of the room and evens out how sound is distributed. In offices, conference halls, restaurants and open-plan work areas they deliver acoustic performance and a contemporary ceiling at the same time. For glass-wool panels of 30–50 mm the noise reduction coefficient (NRC) is typically in the 0.80–1.00 range, meaning the panel absorbs most of the mid and high frequency sound and measurably improves room acoustics.

Acoustic Door AD-001
Acoustic Doors

Acoustic Door

Acoustic doors are purpose-built door sets that reduce sound passing between rooms and help keep a space acoustically under control. The high-density insulation inside the leaf stops most of the noise travelling from one room to the next. Perimeter seals around the leaf and frame bring sound leakage down to a minimum once the door is closed. That matters most in recording studios, meeting rooms, conference halls, cinemas, music rooms and plant rooms. With a robust build and a choice of finishes, an acoustic door does more than insulate: it also sits properly within the architecture of the room. It is one of the key building elements in both professional and commercial projects.

Fabric-Wrapped Wall Panel AP-005
Acoustic Panels

Fabric-Wrapped Wall Panel

Fabric-wrapped wall panels cut the echo and noise that build up indoors and give a room a more even, comfortable acoustic. The fabric face and the absorbent core behind it take in sound waves rather than reflecting them. Available in a range of colours and sizes, they work as both a decorative and a functional wall finish in offices, meeting rooms, studios and teaching spaces. For glass-wool panels of 30–50 mm the noise reduction coefficient (NRC) is typically in the 0.80–1.00 range, meaning the panel absorbs most of the mid and high frequency sound and measurably improves room acoustics.

Frequently asked questions

Which type of acoustic panel suits my space?

Offices and meeting rooms usually take fabric-wrapped or felt wall panels; open-plan floors take baffle ceilings; studios take thick fabric-wrapped panels plus bass traps. Restaurants and cafés tend to use floating ceiling panels, because the walls are mostly occupied. The choice follows the volume of the room and the surfaces in it, which we measure during the site survey.

What is the difference between a felt panel and a fabric-wrapped panel?

A felt panel is a single pressed sheet of PET felt: thin, light, glued straight to the wall and easy to cut to shape. A fabric-wrapped panel is acoustic fabric stretched over a frame with an absorbent core, so it is thicker, absorbs considerably more and comes in a far wider range of colours. Felt is the cheaper option; fabric-wrapped is the more effective one.

Does a timber-slat panel actually absorb sound?

Yes, because of the felt layer behind it. Sound passes through the gaps between the slats and reaches the absorbent layer. The slats on their own absorb nothing; the work is done by what sits behind them. That is why a slatted panel without an absorbent backing is pointless.

Are the panels fire resistant, and what is the fire rating?

Fire behaviour depends on the material and how the panel is made, and public buildings, hotels and workplaces will ask for certification. Tell us the class your project requires and we will manufacture to it and hand over the certificate on delivery.

Do you make custom sizes and custom colours?

Yes. Panels are made to measure, so you are not tied to a catalogue size. On fabric-wrapped panels the colour comes from the fabric sample card; on timber-slat panels the slat type and spacing can both be changed.
