About the project
For the film studio inside a cardiology clinic, timber slats over acoustic felt were combined with fabric-laminated felt panels — both to build a strong backdrop and to make the room easier to record in. Video and audio come out cleaner and better balanced. The natural timber grain and the contemporary detailing give the studio a backdrop that looks professional on camera. Acoustic performance and the look of the room were solved together rather than one at the expense of the other.

The space was not performing on either count. Echo and an uneven spread of sound were working directly against the recordings, and the backdrop was not strong enough to carry the shots — which put a ceiling on the quality of the content.
Our solution
A hybrid build-up was used: timber slats over acoustic felt together with fabric-laminated felt panels. The absorbency of both brought the echo under control and left a clearer, better balanced sound. The natural timber and the clean lines gave the studio a backdrop with real presence.

Results
Sound quality in recording improved markedly and the output is clearer and easier to follow. The studio now holds up technically and on camera — a space where the acoustic brief and the visual one were met together.
